For as long as I can remember music has been a major part of my life. It started at 2 years old running circles around the living room while listening to Earth Wind and Fire, spread to sax, piano, and guitar lessons and onward to graduation from Berklee College of Music.

It was not until one fateful night while attending the University of Vermont that I decided to make playing and writing music a way of life. I drove out of Burlington, Vt after midnight showing up at my parents house on the South Shore, MA in the wee hours of the morning and telling them I was leaving school and I was going to audition for Berklee. It was the best decision I've ever made. It was while attending Berklee that I met the musicians that would make up Matt Chase Group and over the last six years we have recorded two full length albums and played countless shows throughout New England and NYC.

After recording two albums with with an electric/jazz/rock vibe I found myself writing a bunch of acoustic/country tunes. I am extremely excited to announce the release of the new cd A Better Place that is collection of those songs. What makes this cd special for me is that my brother Sammy is on drums, my uncle Paul Good is on lead guitar, and my dear friend Tim Paul Weiner is on bass.
